Finally the Just Cause 2 demo is out. It’s incredible to see so many people having so much fun with our game – and even better seeing videos crop up all over the net showcasing some of the cool emergent things being done. By far my favourite so far can be seen below:
All credit to ThreeNineLine for the awesome work. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of these.
Here’s a new one. How about an iPhone game you can’t see?
Actually, maybe that should be the iPhone game you don’t need to see.
Currently in production over at Somethin Else, financed by 4iP and packing some truly amazing talent behind it, Papa Sangre is an iPhone game that features absolutely no visuals whatsoever.
To quote Somethin Else’s freshly re-launched site:
“For the first time ever on a mobile device, we have managed to realise a world in 3D, spatialised audio, using binaural technology. This is how your real ears hear. When you play the game, you’re actually there, in our world. Which is a pretty scary place to be.”
The game is currently on schedule for a sometime in Spring release and they’ve even put up a cheeky ’screenshot’ to promote it, which can be seen (or not) below:
I really need to start putting more of my photography up on here. What better way to kick things back off than with this lovely, err… flower, from Montreal.
I’m thinking about resetting and relaunching this blog entirely. It’s changed themes, both in terms of visual style and content now so much that I just don’t seem to know what it’s here for anymore – yet I desperately want to make use of it. I figure a fresh start will inspire me.
On the other hand, I can’t bear the thought of it sitting here empty.

Many of you will have noticed the changes going on around here over the past month or two as I’ve been flicking through assorted colourful formats for this blog, changing weekly. Well, after all that… I’ve found what I’m after.
And you’re looking at it. This minimalistic space of bleak nothingness is the all new illegal castle party. So what’s to say? Not much – it all works as you’d expect. Click the links on the side menu to access drop downs to other sections of the site, hit the MASSIVE BUTTONS to find me elsewhere on the web and a press of the title always brings you home.
Do fiddle with the colour though. Hit TRANSFORM to find your liking.
Regular updates on their way.

In 2010, mankind’s technology has advanced to the point that any person can easily travel from one planet to another through the use of interplanetary warp gates. During the 25 years since he won the Street Fighter tournament, Ken has retired from his martial arts career to become a gifted scientist, developing a new substance called “Cyboplasm” that grants superhuman strength to any living organism that it is administered to. When Ken’s lab partner Troy is murdered and the Cyboplasm is stolen, Ken decides to bring Troy’s killer to justice by implanting his body with bionics, as well as an interdimensional transporter, in order to follow the killer’s trail, who has left traces of Cyboplasm in each of the planets he has visited.
While on the trail of Troy’s killer, a mysterious entity begins to taunt Ken, warning Ken to cease his chase. As he gets closer to the killer, Ken begins to feel a strange pain in his body. The culprit is revealed to be Troy himself, who faked his death in order to steal the Cyboplasm, spread it across the galaxy, and create an army of superhuman warriors loyal to him. Troy also reveals that pain in Ken’s body is being caused by a dose of Cyboplasm which he implanted into Ken while he was unconscious. After defeating Troy, Ken returns to Earth to contain the spread of Cyboplasm, which has now become a global epidemic.
I found this the other day (whilst trawling old hard drives) and wanted to get it up on the site. It’s an old music video and song I made many years ago with my older brother, a PS1 and a copy of Music: Music Creation for the PlayStation by Codemasters.
I have absolutely no idea why it’s called Invasion 555.
Hat’s off to the guy behind this Crysis mod allowing you to not only get behind the wheel of Doc Brown’s DeLorean but also travel through very time! The attention to detail is stunning.
